New Product: The Rainier Cottage

Rainier Industries in Seattle is excited to announce a new member of our recreational tent line: The Rainier Cottage.

Consumers can escape to a cozy retreat which could be as close as their own backyard.  Imaginations can run wild to embrace the ways that a Rainier Cottage can enhance one’s lifestyle as they are spacious, affordable and able to adapt to a variety of terrain, climates and uses.   It would make a wonderful vacation retreat, backyard office, guest room, playhouse, emergency shelter or Ecotourism accommodation.

The new Rainier Cottage is handcrafted with beautiful canvas walls on a durable frame that can be set up as a permanent or semi permanent structure. They are sturdy enough to be left up year-round in most climates. It would be easy to set up a simple cottage, or cozy it up with the modern necessities like electricity, heat and the comforts of home.  The beauty of a Rainier Cottage is that it enables you to spend quality time in a natural surrounding at a low price per square foot (average of $33/sq. ft.).

The frame of a Rainier Cottage is constructed from hand selected and sustainable Douglas fir which is Machine Stress Rated (MSR) to attain higher wind and snow loads. The fabric shell is made of 100% cotton Army Duck canvas which is water repellent, mildew resistant, and flame retardant and in a natural canvas color. The Rain Fly is waterproof and made out of a 14 oz. reinforced vinyl with an acrylic top coat.

There are two Cottage models available and each come in 6 sizes. The differences between the two models are purely based on the windows and doors. In the Tahoma model, the three screen windows are sewn into the canvas and can be zipped up with a privacy flap. In addition, the wall-tent style door is also sewn into the Tahoma canvas walls and includes a bug screen. For a sturdier frame, we offer a Denali model which is equipped with three glass windows and a glass door that has a screen for the upper pane.

A number of different options are available to customize a Rainier Cottage including double French doors with mini blinds and high wind cables. For more information, visit the Rainier Cottage website at www.Rainier.com/cottages or call a sales representative at 1-800-869-7162.
